Fast forward 20 years and DF has once again adapted this ultimate carp catcher. Strongly influenced by his experiences underwater, Dan decided to make two major changes to one of his favorite cartridges, making it an even deadlier option within his arsenal.

The first change was to make a hook with a pointed point. During testing it was found that the tip of the beak held the hook better, significantly increasing the number of fish hooked.

The other change was to rotate the eye in even further. The original pattern has a 20 degree rotated eye, the new version with beak increases this to 40 degrees. This ensures that the hook turns very quickly in the carp's mouth, which ensures a consistently good hook.

In keeping with the original pattern, the Longshank has been Beaked forged, with an increased wire gauge for added strength, while maintaining durability with a PTFE coating.

Available in sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8, with barb and without barb, with ten hooks per pack.
