Korda Basix Wide Gape

The BASIX Wide Gape hook has been designed as a perfect all-round model that can be used right out of the box without the addition of all kinds of components - whether you're fishing bottom baits, pop-ups or wafters. The aggressive inwardly curved eye will help the hook turn quickly and find grip in the jaw without using extra kickers or heat shrink tubing.

Using our “X” wire gauge, the hook is suitable for fishing on a wide variety of waters. The BASIX Wide Gape also features a low-profile nickel finish and hook point designed to last. This makes it possible to catch more fish with the same hook before it needs to be replaced. However, it is still recommended to check before casting that the hook is still sharp and may need to be replaced. The model is based on the incredibly effective original Wide Gape, which is responsible for catching countless large carp around the world.

BASIX Wide Gape hooks are available in Barbed and Barbless versions in sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8. Each pack contains 10 hooks.
