The snowman or modified snowman has been a very popular way of bait offering for many years. Lead shot is often used to keep the sinking boilie and the pop-up above it well against each other and to ensure that the whole does not float. This is squeezed onto the hair, against the bottom of the sinking boilie. However, the use of this lead shot ensures that the snowman never really stands up nicely and therefore stands at an angle. This makes it much more difficult for the carp to pick up the hookbait. To ensure a smooth bait pick-up, Strategy has developed the Weight Screw. This handy tungsten weight with an ideal, flat shape.
