The ridges are turned away from the direction of movement, creating unusual waves and adding dynamism to the lure's movements. This is especially noticeable when working a stop & go rod where the pause in between is very pronounced. If you set an offset hook at an angle upwards and then give a twitch, you get dynamic underwater rabies. If you stand it upright it does a great job as a death stinging minnow. It's also great with a 1/32-1/16oz. jig head for twitching in weed bottoms. You will feel the SUPER XLAYER's excellent performance when faced with neutral fish amid heavy cover.
