Built on the exclusive SLP Super Low Profile platform, Lew's lowest profile design. The HyperMag is also Lew's lightest baitcasting reel, weighing just 5.4 ounces. The HyperMag baitcaster features a one-piece magnesium frame, C45 carbon side plates and a premium 11-bearing system with double-shielded stainless steel bearings and Zero-Reverse anti-reverse clutch bearing. Gears are hard anodized aluminum alloys. The compact size of the reel is made possible by the innovative 32mm Duralumin aircraft grade U-shaped spool which starts and accelerates faster than large spools. It handles light lines and lures better than traditional baitcasters without sacrificing power and performance, so it can handle all other bass fishing techniques too.
