Although these floats have similar features to the Skimmer in terms of stems, bristles and sensitivity, it is the body shape that sets them apart, with these floats having a much rounder profile. This gives the float ultimate stability and makes it easy to control in flowing water, perfect for use on rivers. The shape of the body means that the float can be held static or held against the current to achieve a particular presentation in moving water, slowing the bait down without the body of the float rising out of the water. The rounder body shape of this pattern can damage the line if it goes around the outside of the body at an abrupt angle, especially if you move the float up and down. To prevent this, these floats have an in-line system with a small piece of silicone that runs through the float, completely preventing line damage. The wire stem versions of the float are suitable for situations where stability is a priority, allowing you to keep a bait super stable and static even in rough and windy conditions. The carbon steel version is better suited for fast fishing situations where less confusion is a priority when entering and exiting quickly, or if you want to catch fish on the drop allowing the float to 'follow' the shot as it falls through the water. The carbon itself is thin for ultimate performance, it cuts cleanly through the water so you don't have to worry about annoying blockages in the surface water on calm days.
