Packed with the latest casting technology, the insanely light 14000 Ci4+ body has been specially designed to maximize the rod's performance when casting, whilst delivering the smoothness you've come to expect from a high-quality Shimano reel.

The Ultegra XR is in the higher segment of carp reels and is equipped with very high-quality features. The extremely light body is made of Ci4+ composite and is equipped with an extra large spool. The powerful distance performance is due to a combination of our best reel technologies. What is immediately noticeable is the flexibility and power that this reel has, especially during the fight with the fish. The lightness is unprecedented for a 14000 size reel, something that is noticeable at the end of a successful fishing session.

The lightweight CI4+ G FREE Body features a combination of HAGANE Gear, X-SHIP and the two New Functions INFINITY DRIVE and SILENT DRIVE that work in harmony to generate smooth, powerful rotation, even under extreme pressure and heavier conditions. Long distance casting is no problem with this reel. It is equipped with some of the most efficient Shimano technologies, including Super Slow 5 Oscillation, Parallel Body and the New Addition Rigid Cast , which together ensure a greater casting distance and utmost precision. X-Protect technology prevents water or dirt from entering the moving parts of the reel, so that the reel maintains its performance for a long time under all conditions.
